"Lucky Duck" In New England Premiere
Boston Conservatory Theatre Ensemble
April 20 - 22

From April 20 - 22, The Boston Conservatory Theater Ensemble will present the New England premiere of "Lucky Duck," written by Bill Russell and Henry Krieger, the creative team behind the Broadway hits "Dreamgirls" and "Side Show." Directed by Bill Russell, performances will take place at The Boston Conservatory Theater, 31 Hemenway Street in Boston.

"Lucky Duck" is a retelling of Hans Christian Anderson's The Ugly Duckling as an adult musical comedy filled with Broadway-style showstoppers inspired by gospel, R&B, rock, jazz and swing music.

In "Lucky Duck," Ugly Duckling Serena runs away from the barnyard to pursue her dreams in New Duck City, where she aspires to be a rock diva. The bumpy road to superstardom leads to the obligatory fall from grace.

Known for its intimate and supportive multi-disciplinary environment, The Boston Conservatory offers fully accredited graduate and undergraduate programs in Music, Dance, Theater and Music Education, and presents more than 200 performances each year by students, faculty and guest artists.

Tickets are $16 general admission ($5 for senior citizens and students with valid ID). For information, call the box office at 617-912-9222.
