"The Graduate" Returns in January

Lorraine Bracco to Star

From cult novel to landmark film to theatrical sensation, “The Graduate” will return to Boston for a limited two-week run at The Colonial in January of 2004. The coming-of-age story of an innocent college grad who is seduced by an older woman made its triumphant pre-Broadway world premiere at The Colonial.

Lorraine Bracco, known for her role as Dr. Jennifer Melfi on HBO’s “The Sopranos,” will star as the infamous Mrs. Robinson. Bracco made her Broadway debut in “The Graduate” last year, playing the role originated in Boston by Kathleen Turner.

Bracco has been nominated for an Emmy, Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild award for her work on “The Sopranos.” She was previously nominated for Academy and Golden Globe Awards for her performance in Martin Scorsese’s “Goodfellas.

Scheduled to run January 27 through February 8, 2004, “The Graduate” is currently on sale via season subscription only. Single seats will go on sale at a later date.
