Big Apple Circus
Brings Its One Show Wonder
To Boston
April 5 to May 11

A Boston favorite for 18 years, The Big Apple Circus returns to Fan Pier this spring with “Dreams of the City,” its all-new 25th anniversary production. Show dates are April 5 through May 11 and tickets are on sale now.

“Dreams of the City” is set in New York City at the turn of the 20th Century -- a time of energy, immigration, spirit and cultural diversity. By celebrating New York’s “melting pot,” the Circus will celebrate . . . the Circus! Leading the way will be Barry Lubin as the Big Apple’s own red-haired cutie, “Grandma.”

Produced by Paul Binder and conceived by Michael Christensen and Canadian director Michel Barette, this year’s show features an exciting company of international stars.

From France -- back by popular demand, the charming musical clown Francesco.

From Switzerland -- for the first time in the United States, the high speed juggling of Claudius Specht.

From Russian --making their United States debut, the Aniskin Troupe with two spectacular acts: an original flying-trapeze act plus acrobatic feats on the trampoline.

From China -- the United States debut of slack-wire balancer Cong Tian, winner of the coveted Silver Clown Award at the International Circus Festival of Monte Carlo.

From Armenia --free-ladder balancer Azerbaijani Uzeyir Novruzov, performing in the United States for the first time.

From Russia -- the talented cats and dogs of Irina Markova.

From Sweden -- delightful ballerina on horseback, Susanne Svenson, and the equestrian antics of Carlos Svenson.

From Denmark -- the elegance of Katja Schumann’s Arabian horses.

Plus lots more, including the Big Apple Company of talented entertainers from around the world.

Tickets are available through Ticketmaster at 617-931-2787 or in-person at The Children’s Museum, 300 Congress Street in Boston.

“Dreams of a City” is sponsored by Fidelity Investments in association with The Children’s Museum.
